My wife, Vicki Townsend, found this wonderful place on the internet. She read some of the reviews and thought "if this place is that good, we need to try it" It was worth the drive from Kinston. The tables were covered with table cloths and had beautiful glassware on them. The food was fantastic and the service was even better. Soft jazz played as we talked. There were no TVs in the place. Wayne and Miss Joyce do it right. I told them they had already reached perfection. We are looking forward to our visits each month in the coming year.

I had the pleasure of dining with our group Embassy of Zion there last night. The food, service and atmosphere were all amazing, delicious and welcoming in every way. My zeal for catered experiences has been relit! Thank you for your excellence!

I had brunch here for a friend's birthday and I must say that the food was delicious. We had corned beef hash, praline french toast, stewed apples, sausage gravy and biscuits, cheese grits, mini ham biscuits, fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls.

I didn't get a chance to try the corned beef hash, due to missing it on the first pass through the buffet. The praline french toast was moist, soft and full of flavor. The stewed apples tasted fresh. The sausage gravy and biscuits were really good. I'm not a fan of biscuits and gravy, but I really enjoyed these. The cheese grits were flavorful as was were the cinnamon rolls. The fruit was fresh and presented well. The mini ham biscuits were nicely done, just a little salty for my taste.

In regards to the decor; the restaurant is decorated and setup really well. The tables were spaced apart, so you didn't have to worry about bumping into others. You're also served on nice china with engraved water glasses. The inside of the restaurant is a pleasant experience.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to increase the portion sizes of the initial serving. The brunch setup is a buffet where you are served, but since it's a ticketed event; you can't returned to the buffet for a second round until all of the tables are served. So, if you have any later comers, you could be waiting quite some time to get a second helping. With that being said; if you're a newcomer, I would suggest getting one of every item your first trip through, since you may not be able to returned to the buffet to get something that you missed the first time around (like I did with the corned beef hash).

Bonus: After brunch, we had an opportunity to visit the ice cream shop next door. The have a good selection of tasty dessert offerings as well as some of their catered items (spaghetti, lasagna, etc...).

All in all, I would say it's a relaxing and fun brunch experience.

Had brunch with my wife here. It was great. Sausage gravy biscuits, praline French toast and savory grits were my favorites. Beautiful interior to the building they renovated. Will definitely be back!
